Kužnik is a photographer and graphic designer who lives and works in New York. He uses
photography as a medium to depict aesthetically unique scenes with an emphasis on color and
composition. Dino Kužnik depicts some of the most recognizable symbols in the Shaped by the
West series United States – car, gas station, road and landscape. The series that resulted on his
road trips across the western United States between 2016 and 2019, is conceptually related to the
author’s experience of the period after the independence of Slovenia.
